2023 Year End Review
In 2022, I, Beth Erisman-Thomas, purchased Laura's Pet Styles. That first year saw a lot of upgrades to the shop and I began researching ways to make improvements to the services we offered.
2023 has been another year of more changes and improvements to the services we offer. We started the year with the Basic Bath using Vellus Shampoo and Conditioner. The Basic Bath also included a Blueberry Facial, and the Nails cut and filed. We also introduced our Light Spa, which included teeth brushing and a paw spa; and the Luxury Spa, which included teeth and paw spa, and Italian Spa quality shampoo and conditioner formulated for your dog’s coat type. As the year progressed, we added more products to the Luxury Spa to help with skin and coat conditions. These new products from Iv San Bernard are part of Our Commitments to Your Dog.
February saw the introduction of the De-Shed Spa, followed by the Day Spa in March which is best used with Senior's and dogs with skin conditions but is wonderful for every dog. In June we changed the name of the Basic Bath to Spa Bath and instituted a new Bathing Policy in regards to dogs with thick, double coats. July saw the introduction of our Nail Maintenance and Quick Receding Programs. By August, we introduced our Senior Dog Services.
September was a month of more changes and introductions of new services. We adjusted the Spa Bath services and upgraded it to the level of the Light Spa, thereby discontinuing the Spa Bath. We introduced the Birthday Special Day Spa and started offering Caviar Green and Crystal Clean to the Luxury Spa bathing services. We then re-examined and updated our policies on No Show/Late Cancelations, Late Drop Off, Emergency Grooms, and Excessive Matting.
Of course, with all these updates and additional services being offered, we had to look at our pricing. Trying to find the best price for our time and quality but also staying reasonable for our clients is our goal.
For 2024 our pricing will be based on your Canine Best Friend’s weight as follows:
Extra Small (XS): 0 – 10 lbs. Small (SM): 11 – 25 lbs.
Medium (MED): 26 – 55 lbs. Large (LG): 56 – 75 lbs.
Extra Large (XL): 75 – 100 lbs. Extra Extra Large (XXL): Over 100 lbs.
Please refer to the chart below to see how they will break down.
As you can see, 2023 was a year of growth. None of this would be possible without your continued support. I want to thank everyone for their continued support in making a dream an overwhelming reality. We currently have 253 clients with 369 dogs and the number keeps growing. We have some ideas for new 2024 additions to what we currently offer. Please join us in welcoming the New Year and looking forward to further growth.
